No. 6 genus.
Specimens taken at Victoriaborg, Accra, in latrine from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Specimens were also reared from very long siphoned larvæ found in water-barrel at the C. D. Hospital, Accra, in June.
It was found impossible to rear these larvæ in a glass vessel in company with the other larvæ taken from the barrel, as these small larvæ were rapidly devoured by the other larger species.
The male palpi are about two-thirds the length of the proboscis, and very
much longer than the female palpi.

A total of 51 species was collected. Of this total, there are 35 new species and *7 new genera.
All the species taken at Accra were caught in my bungalow. Those taken in Ashanti were caught in my bungalow and in the forest paths or roads. Natural conditions in both districts differ widely.

It will be remarked that correspondence between the two lists is not great.
