I brought home portions of affected lungs in spirit and have since submitted them to the Chief Veterinary Officer of the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries, who, after making an examina- tion finds that the appearances are identical with those of the contagious form of pleuro-pneumonia, and may be accepted as such. The number of cases which appear to have occurred in transport oxen would warrant the vaccination of all transport cattle, and would in this way greatly reduce the number of cases.
