States that Sir F. Lugard's recommen- dation for a cadastral survey of the tin mining area has not been overlooked, but before submitting it to the Treasury, particulars as to the cost of such a survey, the necessary staff, and estimated income from survey fees will be required.
Informs him that the Government of the Federated Malay States has.ac- cepted the proposal that he should inspect and report on the working of the Survey Department, and trans- mits instructions.
