Forwards copy of a memorandum from the Prime Minister for- warding a map from the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth, and a report by Captain Gaunt, R.N., on the future administra. tion of Tahiti, and observing that the undertaking of His Majesty's Government to administer Raiatea applies also to Tahiti.
Transmits, with remarks, copy of the resolution to be submitted by the Commonwealth of Aus- tralia, and copies of Nos. 12, 14, and 15; requests that a memoran- dum cn the question covered by the resolution may be prepared for submission to the Conference.
Replies to Nos. 16 and 17 that there is no question of France ceding the islands to anyone, but the wishes of his Ministers will be borne in mind.
