I am quite clear that upon that Order in Council such persons as are referred to in the question ought to be registered as British subjects.
(b.) I think the registration should be extended to all his children by all his wives. I know of no such distinction as chief wife.
As to the other questions involved, I concur with the opinion of the Law Officers.
I think there is no importance to be attached to the use of the singular number in the use of the word "wife" in the registration. Remembering that it was an Order in Council to be applied to Siam, I think the singular would include the plural.
