I AM honoured with your commande, signified in Sir Frederic Rogers' letter of the 27th ultimo, stating that he was directed to transmit to me a copy of an Act of No. 15 the Legislature of Queensland "To amend and consolidate the laws affecting the solem- 28 Vict. nization of marriage," together with an extract of so much of the report of the local Attorney General as relates to this enactment, and that you, Sir, would be glad if I would inform you whether I see any reason why this Act should not be left to its operation.
