QUEEN'S ADVOCATE to COLONIAL OFFICE.

Doctors' Commons, December 3, 1864. I AM honoured with your commands, signified in Mr. Elliot's letter of the 30th ultimo, atating that he was directed to transmit to me a copy of a Bill of the Legis- lature of Queensland, which has been reservod by the Governor of that Colony for the signification of Her Majesty's pleasure, entitled "A Bill to establish a divorce and matri- "monial causes jurisdiction in the Supreme Court." A copy of the Governor's Despatch No. 48, 14th transmitting the Bill was also enclosed for my information, and Mr. Elliot was pleased Sept. 1864.

to request that I would inform you whether I see any reason why Her Majesty should

not be advised to assent to this enactment.
