Course pursued by the Curator of Vacant Estates in the Island of Mauritius in taking possession of the French ship "Jules" whilst lying in the harbour of Port Louis, on the ground that the “Jules" formed part of the property of a M. Reynaud, the owner and master of the ship, who died at that port in December 1868.

Suggestion of the Law Officers that the proper authorities at Liverpool should be instructed that no ship of war, either of the United States or of the Confede- rate States, should be permitted to be brought into and kept in that port for the purpose of being dismantled or sold, and method of conveying these instruc- tions to the authorities at all Her Ma- jesty's ports at home and abroad. The Governor's proclamation notifying the blockade of certain ports of the St. Do- mingo coast. (See Nos. 265 and 267.)
