Convict Discipline and Finance.
Van Diemen's Land.
LORD GREY transmits to his Colleagues the enclosed drafts
of despatches, which he proposes to address to Sir W. Denison, on the subject of Convict Discipline, together with copies of the despatches lately received from him, to which these are answers.
As the pro- posed instructions will introduce some important modifications into the existing system of Convict Discipline, Lord Grey is anxious to call the carly and serious attention of his Colleagues to them, and will be glad to be favoured with any remarks which may occur to them, before the despatches are sent off.
