I am a Veda. I know the accused, and I have been treating him for cough, consumption. From the month of May I treated him till about eight days prior to the day of looting
Cross-examined: He is a man who lives at Horagasagare. I cannot say that he is a man living at Madampe. I saw him next about four days after the looting. In the interval I did not see him. He came walking.
To Court: Accused did not pay me for medicine. I have charged R.1 for medicine for fourteen days.

I do not live in my house always. I come home once a week or fortnight. saw accused taking medicine whenever I came home. On one occasion accused went with me in search of work. When accused was in my house I came home one day. We plucked some fruits from our garden at Madampe and came to Horagasagare.
To Court: I live at Irattakulama. That is the same house as the accused's. The house belongs to the accused but he does not live there. My house is about seven or eight miles from the accused's residence. I do not know what he did on the 4th.
Accused's case closed.
Crown Counsel (Mr. V. M. Fernando) addresses the Court. Accused states: I am implicated by my enemies.
Result of the court martial will be made known to the accused later on. He will
be taken into custody.

First Charge. The above-named accused, being persons subject to military
law, are charged with treason, in that they, at Godapitiya, on or about the 4th June, 1915, did levy war against our lord the King, contrary to Section 41 of the Army Act.
Second Charge. The above-named accused are further charged with murder, in that they, at the time and place aforesaid, in pursuance of the treason aforesaid, were members of an unlawful assembly, with the common object of injuring in person and property His Majesty's Moorish Mohammedan subjects in Ceylon, members of which said assembly did kill and murder one Slema Lebbe Mohamadu Abubucker, contrary to Section 41 of the Army Act.
Third Charge-The above-named accused are further charged with murder, in that they, at the same time and place, in pursuance of the said treason, were members of an unlawful assembly, with the common object of injuring in person and property His Majesty's Moorish Mohammedan subjects in Ceylon, members of which said assembly did kill and murder one Abdulla Šaibu Nattichchan, contrary to Section 41 of the Army Act.
Fourth Charge.—The above-named accused are further charged with murder, in that they, at the same time and place, in pursuance of the said treason, were members of an unlawful assembly, with the common object of injuring in person
