Submite draft Ordinance to empower the Company to improve the align- ment of certain wharves at Singapore, and to enable the Governor to appoint additional Directors for the Company.

Disapproves, for the reasons given, of the introduction into the Legislative Council of the draft Ordinance sub- mitted in No. 3.

Transmits copies of documents relative to a proposed loan of $10,000,000 to the Tanjong Pagar Dock Company by the Government of the Federated Malay States; considers that the pro- posal in its present form cannot be recommended.

assistance to the Company is not only desirable but essential, and submits proposals.

Acknowledges receipt of No. 4, and refers in reply to No. 6; proposes to take no action at present in regard to the draft Ordinance.
