It shall be the duty of the Protector of Immigrants to keep an alphabetical register of all male immigrants introduced in this Colony; every entry shall contain the name of the immigrant and his immigration number, the name of his village in India, the names of the father and mother, if known, the name of the wife, if married, of the children, if any, when known, the date of his arrival in Mauritius.
There shall be a separate register for all female immigrants, and if any female be known to be married, a reference, in the entry of her name and additions, shall be made to her husband's number in the male immigrants register.
