Government House, Labuan, April 7, 1873. IN my despatch accompanying the Estimates for the present year, I reported that I had included an item of receipt for 951, on account of royalty on coal raised and exported during the years 1871 and 1872.
2. I subsequently received your Lordship's despatch of the 4th December last,* acquainting me that a sum of 611. 188. had been received by the Crown Agents from the Company, on account of the royalty on 2,476 tons of coal raised and sold between the 25th of December, 1870, and the 24th June, 1872.
