Dear Hall,
Thank you for your letter No. 94003/4/50 of July 11th about arms of the Nationalist soldiers ex ETHEL MOLLER.
We have come to the conclusion that the best course for the time being would be to keep the arms in Hong Kong and do nothing about shipping them to Formosa. If the Nationalists approach us for their return, we would have to re-consider the position. While the general situation remains so fluid it would we consider be premature to attempt to reach a final decision about the disposal of these arms.
