That it would hamper trade possibilities.
That it would deprive His Majesty's Government of a very useful window on Communist China; and
(iii) That, while it would drive the
Communists under cover, it would not, in fact, put an end to any Communist plans for infiltration.
At the present juncture of affairs in China, I feel that the Governor's view must be accepted for the present, but I propose to keep the matter under review.
