Dear Pumphrey,

As I mentioned to you on the telephone this morning Mr. Creech Jones is anxious that, since the Chiefs of Staff's Report on Hong Kong, which was circulated in C.P.(49) 100, has been sent to the Dominions, copies should also be sent to the Governor of Hong Kong and the Commissioner-General, South East Asia, and that each should be told of the despatch of letters on the subject to the High Commissioners in the Dominions,

I understand from the Frivate Secretaries to the Minister of Defence and the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations that those two Ministers are agreeable to this. Would you also kindly let me know whether the rrime Minister is likely to have any objection.

Yours sincerely,

(sgd) C.S. ROBERTS.

J.L. Pumphrey, Esq.

Private Secretary.
