Subject: E ERCISE "TUL TUM".

Army Lessons.

The lessons from F crcise "FUI TUM" are so numerous and the Directors/Umpires reports so voluminous that an effort has been made to consolidate and tidy them up or issue to

units.

Sufficient copies of this report re issued for it to be possible for all Officers and Senior NCOs to be able to read it.

Action required on various points is detailed where necessary. This will be completed before the next Force Evercise "KILLUM", due to take place during March, 1948.

}

There is no doubt that the Exercise was of great value, particularly to the Army. Although this documentslists many mistakes there was much good work done by all, especially the troops on the ground. In reading this roport all are asked to realise that the primary object of it is to enumerate the lessons and orortunities for improvement and not to give praise however richly deserved.
