On 12th January, 1948, once again armed Hong Kong police matched into yowloon salled City, opened fire on the residents, threw tea?! 92 beibe, pulled dow all ehelters and left behind assualties. The responsibility for inhumanity and disregard of friendship and treaty obligations as displayed on this occasion must be borne by the Hong Song Owerment.
I hereby lodge with Your tresllency a strong protest against the sction of the Hong Kong poliee on the 12th January, 1948, and i request that ponding settlement of this issue between the two Governants, the Hong Kong Government refrains from further police sation in Kowloon Walled City.
I am to state that the Chinese Goverment refuse to recognise es legal any measures taken by the Hong Kong Government in contravention of theeking Convention 1898.
