Thank you for your telegram of
the 13th January about the Kowloon
"walled city".
I gather that there have been
considerable misunderstandings locally,
due to misrepresentations of the
Hong Kong Government's action in the
press. I now learn that the facts of
the case have been set out in a note
sent by the Foreign Office to your
Ambassador in London on the 24th
January, and he will no doubt be
telegraphing its contents to his Government. んんん
