If as I presume Canton flag- hoisting ceremony is meant this took place as foreshadowed in my telegram No. 107 on January 31st (repeat January 31st) at the temporary premises of His Majesty's Consulate-General in the presence of Mr. Hall and the Mayor of Canton. Arrange- ments were made for the flag to be saluted by Chinese uniformed police.
