"To Recognise True Picture of Kowloon Incident"
Toward the Kowloon incident, we strongly advocate for immediate negotiations with the Hongkong Government which should find out a solution which is acceptable by the Chinese people. The Canton Incident will only tend to frustrate the solution of the problem, The worthless and traitorous characters in China will certainly impede the smooth solution and create an irrecoverable loss in Sino- British relations. We can definitely forecast that they will stage similar movements and violent actions in other places of China. We wish to serve a warning on our patriotic citizens that they should not permit admission of these traitorous elements to the rank and file of our patriotic citizens. In the meantime, the government authori- ties in charge of peace and order in every part of China should provide full protection for foreign residents and deal squarely with the traitorous elements without mercy if they attempt to endanger the safety of foreign residents.
