Kowloon City
Kowloon City Squatters (of whom only about 100 remain encamped in the area) appear to be tiring of their role as national martyrs, and there have already been disputes regarding distribution of staff and supplies contributed by various organisations. I am reluctant to ese sponsore of the movement rescued from this possibly embarrassing position by any official prohibition made at the request of H.M. Government.

For the present, therefore, I would be inclinsd not (repeat not) to press for action in regard to Po-On.
On 22nd January there was an anti-British demonstration by the same 250 studenta on Chinese side of the border at Shum Chum. Demonstration passed off without incident,
