CLEARANCE OF APPLICATIONS
12. Security Screening
(a) This will be done in the country in which a person makes application, by the militery or Colonial Office authority responsible for handling such applications through such CICB or DSO channels as may be available. It can NOT be done in the country of destination.
(b) In the event of a South East Asia permit being granted to any person who
had previously been of security interest the screening authority will ensure that the appropriate authority in the country of destination is duly advised.
(c) Applications from Allied Nationals handled at HQ ALLSEA will also be
screened by the Liaison Mission at Singapore of the nation concerned,
13. Applications screened and approved as in para 12 above will be collected and
referred periodically in detail (stating categories) for final approval and confirmation of priorities as follows :

This is subject to such modification as may be made by arrangement between the CCLO concerned in the case of (a), (b) and (c), or HQ ALISEL in the case of (d) and (e), and the other permit issuing authorities.
Authorities submitting applications as in para 13 above will be notified by HQ LFSEA or CC10s of numbers by individuals or classes which can be accepted, and of the priorities allotted to them.
ENDORSEMENTS ON PERMITS
15. Issuing authorities will indicate on the Permits actual territorial destinations
of permit holders, so far as this is known (e.g. MALL, BORNEO, etc.) which may be varied by subsequent endorsement made by the appropriate authority in such other territory within South East Asia Command as the holder may apply to visit.
16. South East Asia Pormits will be stamped at places of entry and exit whether
by sea, land or air by British or Alliod Security authorities.
