I have told you all I know about it myself.

There is nothing in the Chartered Bank account - mind
you, this is before you were going home, and presumably
you were collecting money before going home on leave -
there is nothing in your Chartered Bank account about
March 1906, which shows you made any special payment
of that sort. You paid in sums in notes $250 and $150,
and you also paid in, what appears to have been your
custom more or less, & lump sum every month. On the 2nd April, you paid in a sum of $596.71, and on the 30th
April, you paid in $864,07 ir cheques and notes, and ir
the interval, you paid ir. two payments, one of $250
and one of $160.73. We know about your salary, but
that does not account for that $1900, so it must be
you paid in cash, and you drew out in cash, so what I want to impress on you is this, that this $1900 is over
and above the money we mentioned this morning, and I
must confess that when I saw you this morning, I did
not know of the existence of this $1900. It certainly
down not appear in your Savings Bank account with the
Hongkong Bank, or in your Chartered Bank account.
The transactions are between the two banks,
Naturally, but over and above that, you apparently24019

appear in your bank accounts. You cant tell me anything
