On page 1833, question 18187, I appear to have said *I dannot give any definite reply to that. I would say
when the Inspector did not have any more notices in
connection with this contravention, it would be his
duty to stop them all". It is not quite clear what the
meaning of that is, but I think I can explain what I
intended to convey to you. When the Senior Inspector
know that he had not to apply for legal notices, he
would, as a matter of duty, instruct the District
Inspector to refrain from serving the small rotice,
it is not very important.
Page 1539, there is a small correstion in the answer to
question 13206, "to ascertain whether it was a disease
that would be cured by disinfection". One ought not to
speak of a disease being cured by disinfection. I have
put in the margin "influenced" by disinfection.
Page 1541, question 13217, the last paragraph of my
answer, "it does not require a medioal man's opinion,"
There is a comma after that, and a comma should go out.
I have put as an explanatory remark there "that is to
say, a house complying with the law”.
Page 1845, question 13248, (quotes). The comma should
go out.
Page 1548, question 13271, Mr Shelton Hooper1a question, (quotes). I understood you to mean by "have you never
heard of medical officers being appointed by loweă
authority" as Sanitary Inspectors.
ir Shelton Hooper:- Yes,
