Is that not the reason that some of the work that really pertains to yt ur department, is given to the sanitary Department, so that these two classes of Inspectors, should not meat in the same building ?
I dont think that was the reason, but there were complaints that this man was doing my work, and that
man was doing some other body's work, and so on, and ·
it was thought at the time, it would be better ta separate out the differend duties.

Dont you think it would be more satisfactory, if it ww! ell carried out by ons Department, under one chief ?
A.
I have said there was friction between the two Depart - ments, and although that is not a good thing, it rather tends to bump things straight, as they are only too ready to report, if they see another man doing what
is net right.
