They are generally reported by the Tung Wa Branch 13764
Hospital?
Yes, now they are, or by the Tuhg Wa Hospital itself. Then are you of opinion that the Tung Wa Branch 13765 Hospitalla have done some good ?
I daresay they have done some good.
13766
In cases where dead bodies are dumped in the street,
you have no means of finding out where the dead bodies
came from?
67
A.
No.
13767
Then in these cases, you could not disinfest the houses|
where the dead bodies are dumped?
A.

Hot if we dont know the address, we cant disinfect. After all your experience, what do you think is the real cause of the Chinese dumping their dead boding in the street, and also concealing their wick "
13768
A.
I expect a great deal of it is done through fear of disinfection. I have always had that opinion.

Dont you think that dumping is done in a great many cases by people, who have no particular interest in the
body?
Yes, but I think the reason is to a great extent explained on account of the dislike to have the hous?
turned out for disinfection.

Has ever occurred to you if this was caused by
disinfection that some radioul ohange should be made,
-
in such drastic measures, so as to enlist the cooperat-
ion of the Chinese community ?
A great many changes have been made. A few years apo, a proposal was made to do away with the disinfection.
Ya can hardly do that yet.
Dont you find that the Chinese come forward more (3771 readily to report cases, than they used to ?
I could not tell you.
