Were you not present at a Keeting of the Plague 13530
Inspectors, at which Dr Clark was present, at which
that was arranged ?
Really, I cannot remember,
Well, you would have remembered it, if that had been 13531
arranged?
(
A.
you quite puzzle me.
32 Q.
13532
Have you ever been present at a fortnightly meeting of
Banitary Inspectors, presided over by Dr Clark, at
which it was arranged that where Sanitary Inspectors
found a dead plague rat in any building, or a case of
plague, that they were to open up and examine that
floor, and also the adjoining floors ↑
I cannot reply definitely to that.
A.
33 во
You have no recollection?
A

I have a recollection of something of that sort, I
think, but I cant answer yes or no.

It is very important ↑
A.
But you put it in such a very complicated way.
Fung Wa Chun:-
I think that is a very clear question.

It is not a very clear question. At those fortnightly
Meetings, certain plans of action are decided on, but
even if it were decided at an Inspectors' Meeting, to
examine a house, before the Inspector bould open up the
floor, they would have to get special permission from
me, or from the Secretary.
Then why should such things be arranged at special (3536
Meetings?
It is the proper thing to do.
Why do you arrange with them at the fortnightly
Meetings ?
13577
I dont see what this has to do with their suggestions.
