giving this Commissiʊfi come very important information, and he has now gone te Canton, and I am very anxious for

him and his two brothers to come back to Hongkong as soon

as possible. It is very important that they should do

so in their own interests. Now, I have told Lai Him on

every occasion that he has been before the Commission,

that there was nothing for him to be afraid of. If

anybody tried to make trouble, he had only to tell us,

and we would protect him, and in spite of that, he has gone to Canton, and what I want you to do is to wite
