Overseas Chinese Youth Movement Party is believed

to number about 100 persons and to operate from Sheklung and Canton across the border. It comprises mainly of ex-soldiers trained during the war for guerilla and demobilisation operations behind the Japanese lines.

Party is reported to have been originally formed in Canton with the object of bringing pressure on the Chinese Government to find employment for their members. activities included smuggling,

Up to now, 102 threatening letters have been received from this organisation by 50 hotels, restaurants and places of entertainment in Hong Kong including Peninsula Hotel and Jockey Club. Special precautions are taken as soon as recipients report to the police. There have been 11 bomb outrages with 12 members of the public injured. One member of the gang has been killed and one injured by their own bombs,

Statements to the effect that object of the organisation is raising funds for the purpose of putting an end to foreign rule in Hong Kong have appeared in most threatening letter which has been received, but these professed Anti-British aims are mere pretext for extortion and should not be regarded as having any political significance.
