(iii) On the 30th August, the second anniversary of the liberation of Hong Kong, the Director of the Kuomintang Branch Headquarters in Hong Kong and Macao, issued a statement exhorting Chinese nationals in Hong Kong to co-operate closely with the Hong Kong Government so as to overcome all difficulties, to bring about prosperity to the Colony, and to strengthen Sino-British friendly relations. He also praised the Hong Kong Government for their successful efforts in the rehabilitation of the Colony.
