reasonable and thoughtful opinions on the question of Hong

Kong and will not injure the good feeling of the Chinese

towards the British by speaking without due consideration.

This will be a big test of British Colonial policy and we

believe that the British people will sympathize with us

Chinese.

b) Reactions in the Colony to the actions or policy of any

foreign country.

There is nothing of interest to report under this

heading.

Reactions in the Colony to British foreign policy.

It is noteworthy that the British Flood Relief Fund

organized by Hong Kong's leading English newspaper, the

South China Morning Post, is being strongly supported by

the leading Chinese newspaper, the Wah Kiu Yat Po. This
