DRAFT PROVISIONS AS TO FEGISTRATIO." OF MUNICIPAL ELECTORS.
1.
The Municipal Commissioners shall from time to time appoint an officer to be officially designated the Registrar of Municipal Electors (hereinafter called 'the Registrar') to keep and revise the Register of Municipal Electors.

The Municipal Commissioners may also appoint from time to time so many Deputy Registrars of Municipal Electors as they think fit and such Deputy Registrars shall have and exercise all the powers and functions of the Registrar subject to any directions from time to time given to them by the Commissioners or by the Registrer.

The Commissioners shall have power to terminate the appointment of the Registrar or of any Deputy Registrar at any time by reasonable notice.
4.
The Registrar and the Deputy Registrars shall cach be a public servant within the meaning of the Penal Code.
5.
The lists of Municipal Electors shall be framed in separate parts for each Word of the town.
6.
The names of persons who in addition to being qualified to vote in Municipal elections are also qualified to be elected as Municipal Commissioners shall be marked with an asterisk or other distinguishing mark (hereinafter referred to as 'the double qualification mark").

Any person who claims to be entitled to be registered as a Municipal elector and/or to be qualified to be elected as a Municipal Commissioner may send to the Registrar a claim in the prescribed form not later than the 1st day of May, 1947.

The form of claim for a person making a claim either under section 7 or section 11 shall contain a declaration of the qualification of the claimant to be registered including a declaration that the claimant has attained the required age and is a British subject or a British protected subject. A note shall also be added to the form warning the claimant that any false declaration for the purpose of this provision will involve a penalty.

It shall be the duty of the Registrar thereafter to prepare or cause to be prepared lists for each Ward of the Town of all persons appearing to be entitled to be registered es Municipal Electors and to publish these lists each year on or before the first day of June beginning with the first day of June, 1947.
The Registrar shall at the same time publish a notice specifying the mode in which and the time within which claims and objections are to be made.
10.
No Municipal elector shell be entitled to more than one vote at any election nor shall he be registered as a voter for more than one Ward but if he is qualified as a Municipal Elector for more than one Ward he may elect in which of such Wards he chooses to be registered as a voter and he may if he so desires re-elect and change such choice at any yearly revision of the Register of Municipal Electors. Any such election should be made before the 31st day of July in each year.

Any person who claims to be entitled to be registered as a Municipal Elector and who is not entered or is entered in an incorrect
manner
or with incorrect particulars on the Municipal Electors list may claim to be registered or to be registered correctly by sending to the Regis trar a claim in the prescribed form not later than the 18th day of June.
12.
It shall be the duty of the Registrar to publish the lists of claimants not later than the 24th by of June.
13.
Any person whose name appears on the electors' list for any ward may object to the registration of any person whose name is included in the electors' list for any Ward of the Town by sending notice of objection in the
