Yes, the owner was fined originally and Man Lee Yuen

was fined.

He was fined for that ?

He had to pay the fine.

Was he summoned ?

He was not summoned, but he had to pay the fine,

I did not know the owner was fined twice. This is new

to me.

The Chaincan :-

For what offence was he fined ?

For failing to properly construct hoods and fluss.

Apparently, the owner was fined for that. Apparently he

em.loyed Man Lee Yuen, who, a month later, was fined

for the same thing. Mr Blood says, I understand, that

the work was in accordance with the plan, and in

accordance with the Ordinancé, and they spend from that

time up to December in corresponding with the Sanitary

Board, asking what was the matter. These are two

notices for fining, and they were fined on representat-

ion of Mr Lamble, who was the Inspector.

The second was, for not complying with the Magistrate's

order.

But Mr Blood understandsthat né further work was made,-

that the work was in accordance with the plan, or

Ordinance.

I was thinking whether, between the time before Kr

Flood went and saw it, the man had not complied with

the notice. It does not take many days to comply with a

notice like that. But he told you, he had done it

before he got the suKROTI B.?
