It was a small plan of a section, which Mr Jackman

proposed as Surveyor, if I remember rightly, - but I

wont be positive that what I am saying is absolutely

correct, but what I think at that time was proposed

to be a new section, and Mr Jackman, Mr Carter and

myself went over the whole of it together from the Tung

Wa Hospital Mortuary at the bottom, right on to the

Jubilee Road, and right up to the top of section A.

And that is the only plan you have seen of the

cemetery?

Do you remember informing Mr Bryan that a body was

interred in the old portion of the cemetery, in June

of last year?

How came that about ?

Dr Pearse and I went to the cemetery together, owing to

the application of a man to put some ornamentation

around a brother of his, who I understand is a son or

cousin of the Compradore of Jardine, Matheson and Co.

When we got there, we discovered another great huge

grave space.In front of Dr Pearse, I said to the

sexton "whose grave is this". The sexton told me it

belonged to some relatives of the Compradore of

Jardine, Matheson and Co. I wont be exactly sure as
