Dont you think that having been recommended by Professor

Simpson, why I ask is because I have some doɑbt

whether he recommended it -

That is on the 16th April. Most of it had been used

then. It was on the 5th May that the Board stopped it,

and none has been used since. We decided that Jayes

Fluid was better. A Committee of the Board sat on the

matter and considered it. There is a report on it. Here is the report. (Correspondehce relative to the purchase

of disinfectanta ão).

-

Of course there is more

sarbolic acid in Carbolosene than in Jeyes Fluid, if

you mix it well with water, -

Do you mean to say that because it contains more, 6.5-96. Carbolic acid than Jeyes Fluid, it is better ?

Yes.

How is it that Jayes Fluid has 8 to 1 carbolic acid

doefficient, - that is to say it is 8 tinas more efficient than carbolic acid itself as a disinfectant ? I dont see how that can be'so, because hers the analyst says definitely that Carbolosene has 21. 2 for carbolic acid, and Jeyes Fluid 17.47%, and in virtue of that, he recommends Joyés Muid becaŋse it contains

32 % of natural oil, which Carbolosane does not contain.

Is it not a fact that in ɛhe old days, disinfectante used to be standardised entirely on the amount of
