A:-

Was this after the house had been inhabited ?

4327

Yes, of course. We leased out to other subtenants, and I

went to the Sanitary Board, and told them I was no

longer the owner of the house. They had summoned me and

the summons was wrong. They made an appointment for me

to meet Inspector Reidie near the Clock Tower. Inspector

Reidio said he did not believe me, and I said "walk inte

the Land Office and see". He said "That is not my

business, you come before the Magistrate and prove it".

Who did you see at the Sanitary Board Office ?

Mr Shalton Hooper:

No, he was very nice. He said "It is only a trifling thing. If you see the Inspector, it will be made alright". When I saw Inspector Reidie, he said "It is

not my business". I understood at the same time he had

summoned W. G. Humphreys too.

Shelton Hooper:- What happened ?
