We understand, Mr Burjor, that you will be able to give evidence before the Commission which will be of use to

UB, and of course we would ask you to give us any assistance in your power. We are not only to enquire int the working of the Buildings Ordinance, to ascertain

whether any improvements can be made in the carrying

out of the actual law, and whether any improvements can be made in the law, but furthermore we are instructed by

the Government to make enquiries as to rumours one heare

from time to time as to irregularities or corruption on the part of members of the Sanitary Staff. You need not be at all afraid of getting into trouble later on. You are under oath, nd you appear before us we understand

to truthfully answer any questions put to you. There will be no fear as to your getting into trouble.

Granted that any wilness appears before the Commission, 11 does not matter who he is, or what he has done in the past, if the Commission is satisfied that he has told the truth, we give the witness a letter of indemnification, a legal document, which will protect him against any result of any information he may give before us. Even supposing you have done something wrong
