At their Meeting on the 17th May, the Chiefs of Staff hrá before then a Minute by the Secretary covering a draft telogram prepared by the Colonirl Office to the Governor of Hong Kong regtriing the military arrangements
which were being put into crict on the turnover of the isluna to Civil Năministrtion.

The Committee instructed the Joint Planning Staff :-
(a) to revise their report on the

Comana of Gervices in Hong Kong resumption of Civil Government in the light of the decisions reached in discursion;
(b) to revize the draft telegram prepured by
the Coloni:l Office to the Governor of Hong Long, in the light of the above
Jiscussion.
The "o" Section is invited to revise their report*,
ram the draft telcertis for further consideration by the Chief. or starr.
