jeur Group Caftann,

Please refer to Sabhen-Clare's letter,

No. 15031/10/46 of the 17th June, regarding the arrange.ents proposed by the Chiefs of Staff for the comind of the three services in Hong Kong.

You will no doubt have seen & copy of the Governor of Hong Kong's telegram, Ho. 477, in which he says that hegrees with the pro- posals, and has no comments. The proposals are, therefore, acceptable to us.

I should be grateful if you would let

us know when the revised service directions are issued, so that we can inform the Governor of the date when they will come into force.

Yours sincerely,

JOCHALMERS
