(o) The six L.G.T. now in Hong Kong should be
retained there and that steps should be taken to accuro their adequate maintenance.
(a) The discussions on the formation of a gondarmario
for Hong Kong should be held in abeyance.
(c) If it is considered probable that the shortage
ofry man-pover is likely to necessitate the abandonment of commitment which have hitherto been rouri B inescapable, an overall review shcumde of the practicability of forming prialarmarie in Colonial territories to replace, in whole or in part, cur regular garrisons.
RECOMMEND..TIONS
We recommend that:-
(a) The Her fries is waited to arrange with the
miralty fr the move, as soon as practicable, of 3 Commando Brigade to halta and of two battalions to Hom: Kɔng.
(b) Thendralty is invited to provide maintenence
parties for the six L.C.T.'o which are to remrin in Hong Kong.
(c) The telegram at Aniex is despatched to S... C.S.D.A.
