For C-in-C. Hong Kong from Chiefs of Staff.
It has been decided that R.A.F. garrison at Hong Kong should be reduced to one flight of Flying Boats.
Air Ministry are accordingly instructing A.C.S.E.A. to arrange for the withdrawal of 132 Fighter Squadron before June and one Flight of No. 209 Flying Boat Squadron at a date to be arranged between you and A. C. S. E. A.
It is proposed to base No. 96 (M.R.) Transport Squadron, allocated for the support of 3.C.C.P.
Understand Japan at Hong Kong when accommodation allows. that at present accomodation is available for only half this Squadron but assume that move of units as in paragraph 2 will obviate any further difficulty in this respect.
