In compliance with your Mano : Ihave placed Ampelf in Communication with Lieutment Colmel Irwin, Inspector of artillery ; And in company with him, and the afficers ordered to assist me in drawing up this report, have visited the various ponits selected byhim, as sites for the proposed batteries.
