defence of Malaya.

(A) please forward your comments and recomendations
on short term armament plan.
(B) Please comment fully on proposal to form in
Malaya local force with British increment, giving your recommendations for organisation, terms of
service, pay eto.
Suggest terms of service and pay should conform to terms of service proposed for Malay Regt.
Consider Force should be raised as compnent of
British regular Army.
