I enclose a copy of the despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong which Wilson mentioned to you on the telephone about the Stonecutters Island airfield project, which was mentioned in Hong Kong secret telegram No. 1559.

I understand that the survey party which is proceeding to China early in January to negotiate an air agreement with China will visit Hong Kong and examine the technical aspect of the Deep Bay and Stone- cutters Island projects, including their probable cost. We should be glad if you would let us know when the survey party is leaving and when it expects to visit Hong Kong, so that we may inform the Governor.
