In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by Article 1 of Proclamation No.16 Military Administration (Delegation) – I, DAVID MERCER MACDOUGALL, C.M.G., Brigadier, Chief Civil Affairs Officer, 1O HEREBY PROCLAIM as follows:-
ARTICLE 1.
SHORT TITLE.
This Proclamation may be cited as the Currency (Amendment) Proclamation.

REPEAL.
The following provisions of the Currency Proclamation are hereby repealed:-
(1) The proviso to article 4 (which provides that certain bank notes will not be treated by the Military Administration as legal tender)
(2)rticle 5 (which provides for the issue of over- printed notes)
(3) The First and second Schedules (which contain respectively the numbers of the bank notes not to be treated as legal tender and the description of the over- printed notes)
