Dear Mr. Caine,
In the absence for some time further of Mr. Crichton I am replying to your letter to him reference 15117/2/46 of the 31st. ult.
It seems for the time being that the solution of the debtor/creditor position must first be settled so that I agree with your suggestion that the question of the duress Notes be deferred meantime. At the same time it seems most desirable that there should be as little delay as possible in arriving at the decision which is to solve the problems we are now confronted with in these matters.
