I have the honour to transmit for your consideration a denft Ordinance to amen. the II ng Kong and hanghai Banking Corporation urdinance of 1929 which has been prepared in this Department.

This Ürdinance has beɑn prepared in Decorúrneŭ with a request by ir. kanngur of the Ban, bufore he left this country for Hong roar. ith oné exception, the amendments are prim 117 concerned with questions affecting the internal manejomunt of the Banks and are requested by Mr. Horue in ord r to f cilit te the vork or the Bank and asslet its management by the Board of Directors in the particular circumstencos of the prosent time.
3. The exception referred to is the increase in the fiduciary iɛsue from 130,000,000 to /46, 00,000
ffected in art I of the och dule to the draft Ordinance. This in recte is necɛnutry in connection with the arrangements which have been made and on which I am ndirerain you separately, concerning the trentment of those notes of the long Long and hasħi Banking Corporation which were isood by the Japanese.
