Mr. Morse called on the 9th February and saw Mr. Williams and myself. We explained the position of our present consideration of the problem of debtor- creditor transactions in the occupation period. Mr. Morse had not been able to give further thought to the suggestion of addition to the Bank's fiduciary issue. and was not ready to discuss that. We must therefore wait a little longer.
Meanwhile, it is rather odd th..t we have had no further pressure from Hong Kong for a decision, and following the rather curious channel of communica- tion opened up by No.1 on the file, I am telegraphing
