of the 12th January with your further margeations for the
date of the hand-over in Hong Kong.
we are prepared to accept the proposals suggested by
you in your pora. 3 subject to the proviso that if it boconse clear at any time that sir Hark Young will be unable to reach Hang ong and take over beŭero jlat March, immediate steps should be taken for the hand-over to take place on an interi. basis on the lạt larch or as soon thereafter as can be arranged, but in no case after
31st varch.
I shall be grateful if you could lot me have your earliest concurrence to the abova,
I mist again emphasise that we have anje no provision in estimates for any ‚âlitary Administɛntion in Hong Kong,
or elsewhere in the coming finansini year and are not proposing to mis any, and we assume that full provision for 1946/47 is being mis on the Colonial office vote.
